Preparation and Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and no pink remains. Drain the grease.
- Return the beef to the skillet over medium heat. Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the liquid reduces.
- Transfer the seasoned beef to the slow cooker. Add the cubed processed cheese, cubed cream cheese, and the undrained can of diced tomatoes and green chiles.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes until the dip is thick, smooth, and bubbling at the edges. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Notes
Drain your beef thoroughly to prevent a greasy dip.
If the dip becomes too thick while warming, stir in 1 tablespoon of milk at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
