Preparation
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Do not drain all the fat.
- Add taco seasoning and a splash of water. Simmer for 5 minutes until the beef is glossy and seasoned.
- In a bowl, whisk together the sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and green chilies.
- In a 9x13 baking dish, layer half the corn chips, followed by the beef mixture, then the cream sauce.
- Top with cheddar cheese. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes. Broil for 2 minutes at the end to blister the cheese.
