Ingredients

Sandwich Components
  • 2 slices Sourdough bread thick-cut
  • 2 pieces Chicken tenders breaded and fried
  • 3 strips Bacon cooked crispy and wavy
  • 1 slice White cheddar cheese sharp
  • 1 leaf Green leaf lettuce fresh and ruffled
  • 2 rounds Red tomato thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Mayonnaise creamy and full-fat
  • 1 tbsp (14g) Salted butter melted for grilling

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet For bacon and bread
  • 1 Air Fryer or Deep Fryer For chicken tenders
  • 1 Serrated Knife For clean slicing

Method

Preparation and Assembly
  1. Fry the breaded chicken tenders until golden brown (165°F/74°C). In a separate pan, cook bacon strips until wavy and crispy.
  2. Butter one side of the sourdough slices and grill on a griddle until golden with visible grill marks. Add cheese to one slice to melt.
  3. Spread mayo on the bread. Layer lettuce, chicken tenders, bacon, and tomato. Close the sandwich and press lightly.

Notes

Use a serrated knife to cut at a diagonal for the best visual presentation.
Ensure the lettuce is completely dry to maintain the sourdough's crunch.
