  • 1/2 cup Honey 120ml
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce 60ml
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar 15ml
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil 5ml
  • 2 tbsp Neutral Oil 30ml, for grilling
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds toasted white
  • 2 stalks Green Scallions thinly sliced

Equipment

  • 12 Wooden Skewers Soak in water for 30 minutes before use.
  • 1 Grill or Grill Pan Medium-high heat.

Method

Preparation
  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, and sesame oil in a bowl. Reserve half.
Cooking
  1. Toss chicken cubes in half the sauce for 15 minutes. Thread tightly onto skewers.
  2. Grill skewers on medium-high for 3-4 minutes per side until charred grill marks appear and chicken reaches 165°F.
  3. Simmer reserved sauce until thick. Brush generously over chicken during the last 2 minutes of grilling.

Notes

Ensure the grill is very hot before adding chicken to get those distinct marks.
Always pat the chicken dry before marinating for the best sear.
