Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls 12-count
  • 8-10 slices Orange cheddar cheese Or 2 cups (225g) shredded
  • 1/2 cup Salted butter 115g, melted
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley flakes

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet Lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Serrated Knife For slicing rolls horizontally
  • 1 Pastry Brush To apply garlic butter

Method

Prep and Assembly
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a serrated knife, slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom sheet of bread.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls on the baking sheet and layer the orange cheddar cheese slices evenly across the surface. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
Glazing and Baking
  1. In a small bowl, combine melted salted butter, minced garlic, and dried parsley. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Generously brush the garlic butter over the tops and sides of the rolls using a pastry brush.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and oozing and the tops are a deep golden brown.

Notes

Use a serrated knife for the cleanest cut through the soft rolls.
Cover with foil if the tops brown too quickly before the cheese is fully melted.
