Main Ingredients
  • 1 package Hawaiian Sweet Rolls 12-count
  • 1 lb (450g) Thinly Sliced Deli Ham Honey or Black Forest
  • 8 oz (225g) Swiss Cheese Slices
  • 1/2 cup (115g) Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp (5ml) Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15g) Dried Onion Flakes
  • 1 tbsp (15g) Black Poppy Seeds

Equipment

  • 1 9x13 Baking Dish
  • 1 Serrated Knife
  • 1 Pastry Brush

Method

Preparation
  1. Using a serrated knife, slice the entire slab of rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a 9x13 dish.
  2. Layer half the Swiss cheese, then the folded ham, then the remaining Swiss cheese. Place the roll tops back on.
  3. Whisk melted butter, mustard, Worcestershire, onion flakes, and poppy seeds. Brush generously over the rolls.
  4. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 mins. Uncover and bake 5-7 mins more until golden and blistered.

Notes

Fold the ham for better texture and moisture retention.
Use high-quality Swiss cheese for the best cheese pull visuals.
