Preparation
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Mix melted butter and garlic powder. Brush onto the bread. Bake for 5 minutes until lightly golden.
Assembly
- Spread a thick layer of tomato sauce over the toasted bread. Cover with a generous layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Add thin pepperoni slices. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and pepperoni edges curl.
- Broil for 60 seconds for golden spots. Remove and garnish with dried oregano and cracked black pepper.
