Preparation
- Place bacon in a skillet over medium heat. Fry until deep brown and very crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble once cooled.
- Wash broccoli and dry completely. Cut into very small florets. Thinly slice the red onion into purple slivers and cube the cheddar cheese.
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, and apple cider vinegar until smooth and glossy.
- In a large ceramic bowl, combine broccoli, onions, cheese, and half the bacon. Pour dressing over and toss until generously coated. Top with remaining bacon.
- Refrigerate for at least 60 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
