  • 7 oz Somyeon (Thin Wheat Noodles) 200g
  • 3 tbsp Gochujang 45ml
  • 1 tbsp Gochugaru 15ml
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar 30ml
  • 1.5 tbsp Honey 22ml
  • 1/2 medium Cucumber Julienned
  • 1 large Egg Soft-boiled, jammy yolk

  • 2 Mixing Bowl One for sauce, one for tossing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil the egg for 6.5 minutes, then shock in an ice bath to achieve a jammy yolk.
  2. Whisk gochujang, gochugaru, vinegar, soy sauce, and honey until glossy and vibrant red.
  3. Boil thin noodles for 3-4 minutes, then scrub under cold water to remove starch.
  4. Toss chilled noodles with sauce and top with julienned cucumber, egg, and sesame seeds.

Notes

Ensure noodles are ice-cold before mixing to maintain sauce thickness.
Scrubbing the noodles under water is key for the correct texture.
