  • 14 oz Extra-firm tofu Pressed and drained
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch 24g
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder 5g
  • 1 tsp Onion powder 5g
  • 1/2 cup Sweet chili sauce 120ml
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili flakes 1g
  • 1 tbsp Fresh cilantro Finely chopped
  • 1 tsp White sesame seeds 3g

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Press the tofu block for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then crumble into small pebbles in a large bowl.
  2. Mix in cornstarch, garlic powder, and onion powder. Roll into 1-inch balls, keeping the surface slightly textured and craggy.
Cooking
  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Spray balls with oil and air fry for 12-15 minutes until golden-brown and crispy.
  2. Heat sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, and flakes in a pan. Toss the crispy tofu balls in the sauce and garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds.

Notes

Ensure tofu is extra-firm for the best shape.
Pressing the tofu is non-negotiable for a crispy exterior.
