Ingredients

Mushroom Ingredients
  • 1 lb (454g) Cremini Mushrooms cleaned and sliced 1/2-inch thick
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp (14g) Unsalted Butter cubed
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp (1g) Dried Oregano
  • to taste Sea Salt
  • to taste Cracked Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley finely chopped for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer Any standard basket-style or oven-style air fryer.
  • 1 Large Mixing Bowl

Method

Preparation
  1. Clean the cremini mushrooms with a damp paper towel and slice into 1/2-inch thick pieces. In a large bowl, toss the mushrooms with olive oil, dried oregano, sea salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place mushrooms in the basket and cook for 8 minutes, shaking halfway through to ensure even browning.
  3. Add the cubed butter and minced garlic to the basket. Shake well to coat the mushrooms as the butter melts. Air fry for another 2-4 minutes until the mushrooms are deep golden-brown and the garlic is toasted.
  4. Transfer the mushrooms to a bowl and top with a heavy garnish of fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure you don't wash the mushrooms under running water or they will become soggy.
Add the garlic only in the last few minutes to prevent burning.
